As I started this project in later May into the beginning of June, I began to build up a long list of goals I want to see accomplished. Each goal has its own relevance and importance, each piece playing a vital role in helping me complete this award fully.
Since many of my goals are currently in motion, I will be updating this page to include a list of my achievements when they are accomplished.
So far, I have:
- Finished building 26 bat houses--assembled and painted (October/November).
- Hosted a table at the Music in the Park--outreach for my project (November).
- Installed 6 bat houses around the City of North Port--2 at each: Blue Ridge Park, the Garden of Five Senses, and the Scout House (across from Dallas White Park) (December).
- Installed 6 bat houses at my Girl Scout camp in Bradenton (December).
- Installed 4 bat houses at my Girl Scout camp in Fort Myers (December).
- Finished installing the remaining bat houses I built (January).
- Hosted a day camp event at my Girl Scout camp in Bradenton (February).
- Hosted a day camp event at my Girl Scout camp in Fort Myers (March).
- Created a limited-time exclusive patch for this website! (March).
- Received my Proclamation regarding International Bat Day (4/17) through the City of North Port (April).
- Hosted a table at the Tree Fair hosted by People for Trees (April).
